Avenger

Avenger is an aggressive young band composition that explores contemporary harmonies and vigorous rhythms to create a feeling of drama and excitement. A variety of harmonic, rhythmic, and textural settings were utilized in the development of this dramatic work. Dynamic and intense, this piece abounds with drive and energy to the last note!

Carpe Diem - Grade 2

Carpe Diem

Your students are going to love playing this piece! A great composition for your percussion section. Exciting rhythms and extended harmonies will make you feel that you "Seized the Day!" The 1st trumpet's highest note is D, and only the 1st clarinets cross the break.

Beginning with a mysterious air, this selection tells the story of the discovery of a secret passage that has been hidden away for many years. A fugue section depicts running through the passage and the active percussion parts effectively drive the piece to the finale.

Steal the Thunder

Your group is sure to steal the thunder in this fast-paced thriller by Rob Grice! Extremely playable, the work opens with driving eighth notes supported by a large battery of percussion. Catapulting forward, the work eventually moves into a brief lyrical passage before regaining momentum toward a rousing conclusion!

Thunderbird - Grade 2

Thunderbird

Rob Grice has over-achieved in this soaring new work, destined to be a "must-play" composition around the world! A middle school band director himself, Rob's music brings out the absolute best in young musicians who respond to inspiring music.
