Concordia: A Chinese American Overture
This uplifting new work by Rob Grice is sure to bring a cultural experience to your next performance. Commissioned and premiered by Concordia International High School Band in Shanghai, China, this concert work honors an American educator who worked with International Schools in China. This will program well on concert and contest performances!

Harambee is Swahili term that means “bringing us all together.” Traditionally, at an East African Harambee, people gather in celebration to achieve a common goal for their community. Their is always much singing and dancing at these celebrations!

our band will make a really powerful statement with this unique concert band work by Rob Grice. Ivan the Terrible served as Tsar of Russia from 1530 to 1584. His behavior often swung from one extreme to the other displaying schizophrenia mental disorder. This composition captures the range of emotions that this notorious Tsar of Russia often displayed. This would work well as a programmatic piece on your next contest or concerts!

From the mysterious opening statement depicting a beautiful Middle Eastern sunrise to the fiery Arabic dance music, this new work embraces the Middle Eastern passion for their culture. Portrait of an Old Country Town is a programmatic work depicting images of an early American community. The beauty of the countryside, the work involved in taming the great outdoors, and a small town festival celebration are all pictorial elements of the piece.
